Uttrakhand is known for it's natural beauty and dev bhoomi. Dronagiri village is one of major hill station in uttrakhand district chamoli and it is the village at highest elevation 2400 km from sea level. Dronagiri village have ther legendary history connected to Hindu Holy epic-Ramayana , history says when lord Ram was fighting with Ravana Laxman( younger Brother of lord Ram) was wounded by a toxic arrow of Meghand.
Then the herbalist Sushain Vaidya suggested that life saving herb ( Sanjivni booti) is the only way to cure the injury. And it was found only in Dronagiri Hill. Lord Ram devote Hanuman ji dicided to go Dronagiri hill ,to bring Sanjivni booti. When Hanuman ji reached hill, he could not identify the herb and broke a part of hill. So that it wouldn't be late to save the life of Laxman. Then Laxman life was saved by Sanjivni booti. But localized were hurt by Hanuman ji. Because Hanuman ji broke the Dronagiri hill. Dronagiri hill is worship by Dronagiri villagers , from that day localized don't worship Hanuman ji in this village.
